Join Our Team: Kid's Director Position
The Kids Ministry Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our children’s ministry, including teaching a predetermined curriculum, leading a team of volunteers, and engaging families. This role ensures that every aspect of the Kid’s Ministry reflects our mission of revival and renewal, helping kids grow in faith and build a lifelong relationship with Jesus. General Responsibilities
- Oversee and teach pre-determined curriculum for Sunday School classes.
- Maintain a safe, upbeat, Jesus focused class and team environment.
- Check in with Volunteers and Sunday School Teachers to ensure each class is scheduled each week.
- Ensure Kids Ministry areas are stocked with supplies and snacks, clean, and presentable for Sunday service every Sunday morning.
- Ensure Kid’s Check in sheets are ready and safely documented.
- Assist in organizing special events, including holiday programs, family activities, and seasonal events, to engage children and families.
Volunteer Management
- Recruit, train, and lead a team of dedicated Volunteers and Teachers for Kid’s Ministry programs.
- Coordinate volunteer schedules and provide ongoing support to both Volunteers and Teachers.
Family Engagement
- Foster strong relationships with children and their families, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
- Regularly engage with parents about Kids Ministry activities and events.
Child Safety and Environment
- Ensure all child protection policies are followed to provide a safe, welcoming space for children.
- Respond promptly to any concerns related to children’s wellbeing.
- Must have a strong relationship with Jesus Christ.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualifications. An Associates/Bachelors Degree is preferred, but not required.
- A minimum of 3 years experience of childcare experience. Experience teaching or leading a Kids Ministry is preferred.
- Exceptional at working both independently and as part of a team.
- Be upbeat, kind, optimistic, and have a desire to serve.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Active Church and community member.
- Must be available to teach classes on Sundays.
- CPR Certification is highly preferred.
- Complete a Background Check.
